Check out more sky watch friday images here: These are a few photos that my boyfriend took in Nalliers, Vendee, France this weekend. I have cropped and enhanced colours a little, but not loads! The windmills form part of a set of about 18 in a long line that crosses the main road through Nalliers. If you look closely on the first and last photos you can actually see the light bulb on the top of the wind mill that flashes red to warn aeroplanes and the like. These were taken using a 55-250mm EFS telephoto lens and the Canon 450D.

Check out more sky watch friday pictures here : The sunsets have started to look really beautiful in the evenings and I just had to take some pictures this time round. This is the view from my office, a cement works right on the Itchen river, Southampton. It doesn't appear that pretty at first glance but as dusk draws in, it turns into something completely different and I love it! These pictures have been cropped and adjusted in Paint Shop Pro, but nothing major, the sky really did look that lovely, I just tried to do it justice and enhance the colours a bit.

This is a photo I took of the house across the road from me, as seen from the sideway of my house. It has always intrigued me as it almost looks like it has a turret or something. It just doesn't look the same as the other houses round here. This has been processed in dphdr software.
This is a picture of a praying mantis that I spotted on the wall at our place in France. I managed to get fairly close but I was too scared to get closer! I don't know if they bite or anything and it looked a bit mean with those pointy front claws! I didn't quite get the bokeh right on this one, but it's not a bad shot really considering I was so freaked out by it.
